faq

Questions we get

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial with full Pro access. We collect a card so it converts automatically when the trial ends, but if you cancel before then (one click in your account) you're never charged.

Monthly or yearly?

Monthly is $9/mo. Yearly is $90/yr — that's $7.50/mo, so you get 2 months free vs paying monthly. Both unlock the same Pro features and start with the same 7-day trial. Switch plans anytime from the Stripe portal.

What exactly does Pro include over the free composer?

Everything at prompt.phbeks.com — the single-prompt R-G-C-B-T-S composer, 13 code-export targets, Help §1 (Foundations) and §2 (11 single-prompt techniques). All local-only, no signup, no tracking. The free composer is open-source: github.com/deokman420/prompt-composer.

Why BYOK? Why don't you sell tokens?

You bring your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, xAI, NVIDIA, OpenRouter, or DeepSeek) and we run AI Eval and AI Help against it. Reasons: (1) you control cost and rate limits; (2) we never have to set token prices or eat surprise overruns; (3) your prompts go straight to the provider, not through our infrastructure as inference traffic. Your encrypted key sits in our database; the plaintext is decrypted server-side only at eval time and never logged.

How do I cancel?

Sign in to your account and click Manage subscription — that opens the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel in one click. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds?

Cancel anytime; no refund for the current billing period. We're a small operation — we'd rather not get into disputes. If something genuinely broke and you can't use what you paid for, email and we'll make it right.

Where does my data live?

Free tier: nowhere but your browser's localStorage. Pro tier: your account email goes to Clerk (auth), your subscription status to Stripe (billing), and your encrypted API key + Orchestra drafts to our Postgres database (Supabase). Prompts you run through AI Eval or AI Help go directly from our server to the provider you chose; we only log a SHA-256 hash for rate-limit accounting.

Open-source?

The free composer is MIT-licensed at github.com/deokman420/prompt-composer. The Pro app (Orchestra editor, AI Eval engine, billing/auth) is a separate private codebase — that's what your subscription pays for.
